The Violet Hour Amethyst Ring

Amethyst gets its violet colour from iron impurities and natural irradiation within the earth — the deeper the purple, the longer and more intense the geological process that created it.

A natural amethyst rests at the centre of this ring, revealing layers of violet that shift from soft transparency to a deeper, shadowed purple. Its elongated faceted form catches the light along the edges, while the natural markings within the crystal give each view a slightly different character.

Fine white copper coils create a continuous oval frame around the stone. Two smooth metal lines cross the open centre, holding the amethyst securely without concealing its colour or internal textures. The wide handwoven band gives the ring a grounded presence, balancing the clarity of the crystal with the visible detail of the wirework.

Created as a one-of-a-kind piece, this ring is made to be worn and lived with. Over time, the white copper may gradually deepen in tone and gather subtle traces of everyday wear, allowing the piece to become increasingly personal.
