Herkimer-style quartz grows in ancient sedimentary rock, forming its own natural facets over hundreds of millions of years — no two crystals share the same internal map of inclusions and reflective planes.

A natural Herkimer-style quartz rests at the centre of this ring, revealing sharply defined facets, transparent layers, and delicate inclusions formed within the crystal. As the ring moves, its elongated surface catches brief flashes of light, exposing different markings and reflections from every angle.

Hand-shaped brass wirework surrounds the stone in an intricate, sculptural structure. Concentric spirals, coiled details, and small celestial-inspired forms extend around the crystal, creating the impression of an ancient compass or symbolic map. The open setting keeps the quartz visible while giving the ring a distinctive architectural character.

Created as a one-of-a-kind piece, this ring is made to be worn and lived with. As the brass gradually deepens in colour and develops a natural patina, it will gather visible traces of everyday wear and become increasingly personal.
