The Frosted Passage Herkimer-Style Quartz Ring

The clouded areas within this Herkimer-style quartz are ancient fluid inclusions — pockets of water or gas trapped inside the crystal as it grew, preserved unchanged for hundreds of millions of years.

A natural Herkimer-style quartz rests at the centre of this ring, revealing clear angular facets alongside mist-like inclusions formed within the stone. Some areas catch the light sharply, while others remain softly clouded, creating a changing balance between transparency and texture.

Fine white copper coils follow the crystal's irregular outline in two sweeping curves. The open, asymmetrical setting holds the stone securely without covering its broad surface, allowing its internal markings and natural geometry to remain fully visible.

Created as a one-of-a-kind piece, this ring is made to be worn and lived with. Over time, the white copper may gradually deepen in tone and gather subtle traces of everyday wear, allowing the piece to become increasingly personal.
